Hello All.  I hope everyone enjoyed their summer! I’ve been heads down busy working at NetApp as we’re actively growing and adding talent to our company.

Speaking of talent…Our economy has been challenging lately to a number of displaced researchers, sourcers, and recruiters being let go as companies scale back in recruiting and HR departments to balance and survive.

A Live Learning event with Dr John Sullivan

I’m co-secretary of the HRCA and just wanted to let you all know of what we at HRCA think will be another great LIVE learning event this Thursday at McAfee at 7pm. We have Dr John Sullivan (usually he is featured on the front page of ERE) headlining that night.

I don’t mean to spam or totally self-promote HRCA, but these events are always filled with food, fun, and networking. I encourage everyone to continue learning, improving, and network at events such as this. I would love to greet and meet other HR professionals. See you there!

Another BIG Northern California HR Event for 2008 Hosted by HRCA at
McAfee at their Sunnyvale, CA facility. We will be having the
distinguished Dr. John Sullivan present his views on “Winning the
War for Talent”. Then we have Lisa Brusack, Sr. Trainer from AIRS,
presenting on “Good to Great: How to transform your recruiters”.

There will be an Open Bar along with Free Food and a networking hour
starting at 6:00pm sponsored by Jigsaw. Additionally, Jigsaws Craig
Brown will be showcasing “Smarter Sourcing with Jigsaw”.

This is the Bay Area HR event to attend!

The cost is $50 for non-members of HRCA. (If available, any
remaining) Tickets will be $75 at the door, so Pre-Register now as
